ITINERARY

THABA BOSIU VILLAGE

A historical and cultural heritage site in Lesotho, located at the base of the iconic Thaba Bosiu plateau. Designed to resemble a traditional 19th-century Basotho settlement, it showcases the rich history, customs, and legacy of King Moshoeshoe I, the founder of the Basotho nation. Visitors can explore thatched rondavels, cultural exhibits, and a museum while learning about Basotho traditions, crafts, music, and dance. With breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and an immersive cultural experience, Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village is a must-visit for those seeking to connect with Lesotho’s heritage.

KATSE DAM

Nestled in the Maloti Mountains of Lesotho, is the centerpiece of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project and one of Africa’s most impressive engineering feats. Standing 185 meters (607 feet) tall, it is the highest dam in Africa and plays a crucial role in supplying water to South Africa while generating hydroelectric power for Lesotho. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, the dam creates a vast, deep-blue reservoir that blends seamlessly with the rugged landscape. Visitors can explore the dam through guided tours, learning about its construction, impact, and the surrounding communities. With its striking views, engineering marvel, and importance to the region, Katse Dam is a must-visit destination for travelers interested in both nature and human ingenuity.

MALETSUNYANE FALLS

Located near Semonkong in Lesotho, is one of the tallest single-drop waterfalls in Southern Africa, plunging an impressive 192 meters (630 feet) into a dramatic gorge below. Surrounded by rugged cliffs and rolling highlands, the falls create a breathtaking natural spectacle, often veiled in mist and accompanied by the powerful roar of cascading water. The site is not only a stunning destination for nature lovers but also a hub for adventure seekers, offering activities like hiking, horse riding, and abseiling—home to one of the world’s longest commercially operated abseils. Whether admiring its beauty from a distance or experiencing its thrill up close, Maletsunyane Falls is a must-visit for anyone exploring Lesotho’s natural wonders.

THABA TSEKA

A remote mountain town in central Lesotho, is a paradise for riders and driving enthusiasts, boasting some of the country’s most thrilling twisty tar roads. Winding through the dramatic Maloti Mountains, these roads offer smooth, well-maintained asphalt with endless curves, hairpin bends, and breathtaking elevation changes, making for an exhilarating ride. The journey to Thaba Tseka is as rewarding as the destination itself, with panoramic views of deep valleys, rugged peaks, and traditional Basotho villages along the way. Whether you're carving through corners on a motorcycle or cruising in a car, the roads around Thaba Tseka promise an unforgettable adventure for those who love scenic, technical routes.

FREE STATE

Riding to Lesotho through the Free State is a journey that transitions from vast, open plains to dramatic mountain passes, offering an ever-changing landscape perfect for two wheels. The ride begins with sweeping roads cutting through golden farmlands, where the horizon seems endless under big, open skies. As you approach the Lesotho border, the terrain shifts, with rolling hills giving way to towering peaks, signaling the adventure ahead. The roads tighten into thrilling twists and turns, leading to remote highlands and rugged beauty that few places can match. It’s a ride that blends freedom, exhilaration, and the promise of the adventure that awaits beyond the border.

THE BONAFIDE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

At Bonafide Moto Co., we don’t do tours—we curate adventures. And the difference is simple: tours follow a script, but adventures unfold with every twist and turn. Some days are smooth, others push you beyond your comfort zone, but that’s where the magic happens. Every ride is a journey of discovery, where the reward isn’t just the destination—it’s the experience itself.

What sets our adventures apart isn’t just the roads we take; it’s the people who ride them. Here, egos get left at home. There’s no competition, no proving yourself—just a crew of like-minded riders who share a love for exploration. Everyone has a role to play, whether it’s lending a hand, sharing a laugh, or pushing through a tough stretch together. We embrace the challenges as a team because that’s what adventure is all about.

The friendships formed on our rides are the kind that last. There’s something about a day spent conquering tough terrain and an evening spent around the fire that brings people together in a way few other experiences can. Many of our riders come back year after year, not just for the adventure, but for the camaraderie—because here, you’re part of something bigger than just the ride.

If you’re looking for an adventure that will inspire you and connect you with incredible people along the way—welcome to the ride. Just remember our one rule: don’t be a dick.
