THE ADVENTURE

How often do you get to mix motorcycle riding with the beach? A few years back we hosted the first “Swazi to Sea” and it was a hit. The goal was to explore the beautiful back country of Swaziland and spend some time on the beach of Mozambique eating fresh fish from the sea while sipping on R&R’s.

It was a vibe and we’re bringing it back in 2025 taking some lessons learned by extending the trip one more night so you can enjoy more dirt riding in Swaziland.

THE RIDING

This will be a nice mix of dirt riding through the Western and Northern part of Swaziland where we’ve found these roads to be really great, adventurous and remote. The ride pace will be kept manageable so that you can stop along the way or ride at your own pace to enjoy the views.

Once in Mozambique, there’s a short sandy bit to the accommodation. The following day we’ll ride up to Ponto Molongane for lunch where there’s a great sand road to get there where we’ll get to test our sand riding skills. For those who don’t want to ride in sand, we’ll have a few spots available in the support vehicle.

Rider Skill Level Recommendation:
Must have prior off-road training or experience. NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

THE FOOD

Mozambique is famous for many things and one of them is it’s Portugese style cuisine focusing on fresh fish and their ‘Pao’ bread. For both day’s that we’re in Mozambique you’ll get plenty of options for fresh seafood.

Swaziland as well has some amazing foods on offer at both places we’re staying. You’ll be well fed on this trip and it’ll definitely be one of the highlights outside of the great riding!

“Felt as if i was traveling with old mates! Only good thoughts and memories. The trip was so well planned, and everything was take care of. I could just enjoy the ride!”

“This is the new standard of motorbike adventure for those part-time riders seeking a thorough, undiluted experience.”

“I HAD A BLAST! Would absolutely do it again. Can't wait for next year! Unbeatable value for money. A lovely trip with very helpful hosts. Took us to beautiful venues and very interesting gravel roads. What an awesome adventure! Swaziland is a blast!”

ITINERARY

ACTUAL STOPS AND LOCATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

  • Our ride starts from Triumph Johannesburg for a rider briefing, coffee and muffins.

We’ll hit the tar roads out of town and make our way onto gravel as soon as possible. We’ll cross through the border of Swaziland before sunset and stay at a really great lodge just north of Mbabane.

  • We’ll have an early breakfast this morning and head out on the bikes shortly after.

Most of our day we’ll be spent exploring dirt roads in the area as we make our way north east towards Mananga.

  • The earlier we leave, the more time we’ll have on the beach in Mozambique. We’ll take dirt roads out of Monanga making our way to the Mozambique border post. From there it’s mostly tar roads that’ll take us all the way to Ponto Do Ouro crossing through Nature Reserves.

Dinner will be fresh fish overlooking the ocean below on the coast of Mozambique.

  • The day is up to you. Whether you want to head to the beach or go out and ride some sand it’s up to you.

We’ll have lunch up in Ponto Molongane at one of our favorite spots where they cook fresh prawns and fish for us.

  • We don’t want to leave the coast but we must. We’ll make our way into SA via the Ponto gate and head through sugar cane roads towards Mkhondo.

  • Time to head home!
