COME DUAL SPORT THE WESTERN CAPE

Over the years we’ve led riders from around the world throughout Southern Africa on Adventure Bike’s.

We’re now adding a new offering as we’ve seen a growing desire for riders to experience our adventure’s in Africa on motorcycles that offer a bit less risk, are a bit lighter, more agile and also a bit more fun to travel on.

Join us on a 9 day Western Cape Motorcycle Adventure tour on the Honda CRF 300L/Rally where we’ll take you through some of South Africa’s best dirt roads to scenic mountain passes and locations.

THE RIDING

This adventure is all about taking you to the off-road wonders of the Western Cape. The majority of the dirt roads that we will encounter along the way are gravel and well maintained two tracks in the area. There will not be any single track. Dependent on weather during our adventure the demand on the rider can change.

We will have a lead rider and sweep rider throughout the adventure so you will never get left behind. Our lead rider sets a comfortable pace that enables you to ride at your own pace to take in the views. We will wait for you at your next turn.

ALL RIDERS ARE REQUIRED to bring with them a device to navigate with (Phone/GPS) and a means to mount on your bike at all times.

THE STOPS ALONG THE WAY

While you’re here in South Africa we’d like to take you on a route that gives you a great mix of mountain scenery, desert environments, nature reserves, local hang outs, coastal views and a variety of road conditions throughout your time.

This part of the country is extremely beautiful (year round) but the weather is also preferable this time of year.

On our journey you’ll stop through; Tankwa Karoo National Park, Cederberg Mountain Area, Swartberg Pass, Anysburg Nature Reserve, Plettenberg Bay, the Garden Route and we’ll end the trip along the iconic Chapman’s Peak Drive just outside of Cape Town.

THE ACCOMMODATION

We make sure that you’re looked after each night of the adventure. Our accommodation options range each day so that you can experience diverse locations throughout the Western Cape. Dinner and breakfast is included (alcohol is not) at each night accommodation or when necessary we’ll head into town for meals.

Shared room ticket holders will share a room/shalet/cabin/cottage with one other person. Each location will offer an en-suite or will have a bathroom close by for you and you’ll be able to shower each day.

Private room upgrades are available should you wish to have your own privacy and place to sleep each day.

  • Welcome to South Africa!

FLIGHT INFO: We find it best to find a flight that arrives into Cape Town International Airport by 1pm on arrival day. This way you have plenty of time to get settled in, get any last minute supplies and connect with the rest of the group.

We’ll have a group dinner this evening where we’ll do our first rider briefing and official introductions.

  • Our first riding day!

We’ll have an early breakfast this morning, pack up the bikes and get the support vehicle all sorted out before hitting the road.

We’ll have a 250km day where we’ll spend the majority of the time on tar roads as we make our way out of town before hitting our first bit of dirt.

Dinner will be at our camp in the Cederberg mountains with a restaurant and bar on the property.

  • It’s a 150km day full of dirt!

We’ll set out at our leisure sometime after breakfast heading out of the Cederberg and into the Tankwa National Park.

Our accommodation this evening will be at a remote camp in the desert with full facilities (restaurant, bar & showers).

  • Today will be a longer day on the bikes (250kms +/-) of consisting mostly of dirt roads; so we’ll have an early breakfast and hit the road as soon as possible.

The ride today will be extremely remote where we’ll only pass through a few small towns as we make our way to the Anysburg Nature Reserve.

Our accommodation this evening will be at an eclectic lodge tucked into the mountains where you’ll enjoy a proper South African braii experience.

  • You’re going to love today’s ride of just over 160kms!

This day will be one of the highlights as you’ll go through a special mountain pass known as Seweweekspoort, follow along river roads outside of a small town known as Calidzdorp and eventually up and over the famous Swartberg Pass.

  • We’ll head out of Prince Albert on the tar roads shortly after breakfast in town.

After a few hours on tar we’ll take a great mountain pass on dirt roads that will lead us to the coast for the next 2 days.

  • Today is an R&R day. Feel free to cruise around the area at your leisure, head to the beach, go kayak along the river or just kick back and relax.

  • We’ll head out shortly after breakfast taking back roads west heading back inland towards the town of Barrydale where they have some of the best milkshakes in the country!

  • Our last full day of riding!

We’ll head out shortly after breakfast and start making our way back towards Cape Town. The earlier the better so that you have more time to enjoy Cape Town.

We’ll have one final dinner together, and you’ll have the option to kick back or head into town for some late night activities and live music at The House of Machines.

  • Our final day together!

Bikes will be inspected and collected this morning by the rental company and you can make our way to the airport when needed.

FLIGHT INFO: Our accommodation is roughly 30-45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. Feel free to book a flight that suits you best with this in mind.

THE BONAFIDE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

We've always been of the mindset that Bonafide Moto Co. curates adventures, rather than tours. The reasoning is simple – we're adventurers at heart.

To us, adventures come with ups and downs along the way. Some days are easy, while others will challenge you. Either way, you’ll reach your journey's end with a feeling of real accomplishment.

Bonafide Moto Co. adventures are carefully designed to encapsulate the true spirit of adventure travel. They take you along paths unknown, push the limits of your skills, make you work for your reward – and most of all, bring like-minded people together.

Adventures are all about a team effort. Each person finds a role, assisting others when they need help and knowing that each of us is in this together.

We pride ourselves on having the ability to create this camaraderie, with many of our guests returning year-on-year to rekindle those lasting friendships at the end of every day around the fire.

If you’re looking for a life-changing motorcycle adventure that will challenge you, make you part of a team, and help you grow as an individual – this is your next adventure and we look forward to hosting you!
