THE STORY
Namibia is vast. It’s big. It’s beautiful. The roads are amazing and you’ll feel like a speck of sand amongst the wide open terrain of Namibia.
We’ve put together a great 9 day motorcycle adventure that will provide you with truly exceptional off-road riding through canyons, through dry river beds, over mountains and through vast open spaces.
THE RIDING
The majority of the time in Namibia we will make use of the country’s national and tertiary roads. These roads include both tar and gravel roads in between towns. The road surface and conditions change often between hard packed gravel, corrugation, loose gravel and sand. Each day’s riding will vary from the one previous, when there’s a long day of riding, the next is shorter distance.
Rider confidence is a must for this journey and we encourage all riders to spend time on their bikes before coming to Namibia. See below about the included off-road training.
TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 400X (Included motorcycle rental)
We’ve tested this bike in harsh environments like Botswana and it’s extremely capable to handle the Namibian terrain.
What’s great with the Scrambler 400X is that it’s lower to the ground than most adventure bikes and also lighter. For those who may not be tall riders, this is a great option.
THE BIKES
TRIUMPH TIGER 900 RALLY PRO (Additional $500)
For those who are confident in their skills to take on Namibia with an adventure bike, the Tiger 900 is our preferred bike. These bikes are top of the line with amazing suspension and features. The Tiger 900 has proved itself time and time again on each of our adventures into Namibia.
OFF-ROAD TRAINING & EVALUATION DAY
Our first full day together in Namibia will be dedicated to our off-road assessment and localized skills (sand) training day. This allows us to see where everyone’s skill levels are and to work 1 on 1 with each rider to help them improve any areas of concern with their skills.
THE BONAFIDE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE
We've always been of the mindset that Bonafide Moto Co. curates adventures, rather than tours. The reasoning is simple – we're adventurers at heart.
To us, adventures come with ups and downs along the way. Some days are easy, while others will challenge you. Either way, you’ll reach your journey's end with a feeling of real accomplishment.
Bonafide Moto Co. adventures are carefully designed to encapsulate the true spirit of adventure travel. They take you along paths unknown, push the limits of your skills, make you work for your reward – and most of all, bring like-minded people together.
Adventures are all about a team effort. Each person finds a role, assisting others when they need help and knowing that each of us is in this together.
We pride ourselves on having the ability to create this camaraderie, with many of our guests returning year-on-year to rekindle those lasting friendships at the end of every day around the fire.
If you’re looking for an easy outride – this one isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a life-changing motorcycle adventure that will challenge you, make you part of a team, and help you grow as an individual – this is your next adventure and we look forward to hosting you!
